Discover Lane, the first reservation-free carpooling service

Created in 2018, Lane has become the first reservation-free daily carpooling service in France and around the world! 
This new carpooling line has taken on all the codes of public transport to offer you a reliable, secure and economical service for carpooling serenely and without reservations.
 

Carpooling with Lane is easy.

If you're a driver, all you have to do is launch the Lane app to indicate your route and the stops you'll be passing, then drive... And that's it! Lighted roadside signs will inform you of the presence of a passenger, along with a notification from the app. For each passenger transported, you earn €2, up to a limit of 2 journeys per day for the same driver. Then drop off the passenger(s) at the designated stop and collect your payment. In this way, you're supporting a socially responsible, local and ecological initiative!

If you're a passenger, it's easy: just get to the nearest stop and enter your destination in the Lane app, by text message or using the kiosk. Wait at the stop, and a few minutes later, a driver will stop to take you to your destination. All rides are free!
 

Carpooling with Lane is :

• A no-reservation service, you don't need to place an ad, just leave from home and share your car with people on your way!

• Free rides for passengers, become a passenger with Lane and reduce your budget with free rides. You can save up to €400 a month by using our routes on a daily basis.

• Guaranteed departures: if no vehicle stops, assistance will find you an alternative at its expense. Departure guaranteed in less than 20 minutes.

• Drivers receive €2* per passenger picked up.
  *For all journeys made using the Lane application, Monday to Friday, between 6.30 a.m. and 9 a.m., and between 4 p.m. and 7 p.m.

In France, transport and energy consumption are the main sources of CO2 emissions.

According to the European Environment Agency and INSEE, car use accounts for over 60% of European road traffic, while rail transport accounts for just 0.5%.

Lane means around 12,000 drivers for over 404,000 kilometers carpooled by Laners passengers. It also means 52 tonnes of CO2 saved since the opening of the lines. By 2023, 200 tonnes of CO2 emissions will have been avoided thanks to the Lane solution.

The solution meets everyday travel needs, as the average waiting time at peak times is 7 minutes, which is similar to that of a bus!
